
Christian Velasco
Christian Velasco-Gallego (Reus, 1996) is a Systems and Naval Technology Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Computer Engineer from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and holds a Ph.D. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Strathclyde. Currently, he conducts research within the ARIES Research Group (Applied Research in Engineering and Computational Science), where he leads the research line ‘applied artificial intelligence in the maritime sector’. Additionally, he currently serves as a lecturer in artificial intelligence for the computer engineering degree at Universidad Nebrija. In his spare time, Christian writes popular science books as well as both fiction and non-fiction books where technology plays a central role.
