Rubén Sánchez
Rubén Sánchez Trigos (Fuenlabrada, Madrid) is a novel writer and co-writer of the short films ‘Cambio de turno’ and ‘El intruso’ (David Cánovas, 2005 and 2006), the latter nominated for the Goya Award for Best Short Film. He is also the screenwriter of ‘La luz’ (Iago de Soto, 2021), winner of the Best Short Film Award at Screamfest in Los Angeles, the Syfy Award for Best Short Film and the Audience Award at the Horror and Fantasy Film Week in San Sebastian.
He has worked on the development of ‘Verónica’ (Paco Plaza, 2017) and is co-writer of the feature film ‘Viejos’ (Raúl Cerezo, Fernando González, 2023). He has also published articles on fantastic cinema in the most important magazines and collective volumes of the genre. He is the author of the essay ‘La orgía de los muertos. Historia del cine de zombis español' (Shangrilá, 2019).
He currently teaches screenwriting and literature at U-TAD and in the URJC's Master's Degree in Screenwriting.
