Àngel Burgas

He writes novels for young people and adults. He combines literature with the teaching of plastics and technical drawing. Its great themes in youth literature are humor, action thrillers and stories with social content. He has won the most prestigious awards of the Catalan LIJ: The Folch i Torres, the Joaquim Ruyra, the Serra d'or or the Protagonista jove. For adults it has obtained the Serra d'or and the Mercè Rodoreda. Among his youth novels, the following stand out: “Noel et busca” (La Galera 2012), “Kalimán en Jericó” (Bambú 2014), or “Barcelona Escape Room” (Jollibre 2022). For adults he has published in Catalan for Proa, La Magrana and Empúries. He has written theater and illustrated book review. His latest novels are the reissue of “Kamal i els alfabetistess” (Animallibres 2024) and “Els contes de Lesbos” (Bambú 2023, Serra d’or Award 2024).
