Emma S. Varela
Emma S. Varela was born in Salamanca in 1987, although she has lived in Leon since she was a child. In the mornings, she works as an Early Childhood Educator in the Junta de Castilla y León and she dedicates her free time to thinking and writing stories. She has published more than 20 books, all of them aimed at instilling in the smallest ones values such as friendship, respect and empathy. She tells stories monthly in the Libraries of León and she collaborates on La 8 TV with the children's program "La Hora de Dormir" in which she tells stories and rhymes and makes crafts for the little ones.
Additionally, she is a coordinator at the Palabra International Festival, where she is in charge of the children's section.
