Silvia Romeral

Born in Zaragoza and Catalan by adoption, Silvia is a children’s illustrator, kendoka, and engineer. She studied illustration in Barcelona, at Escola Joso and Escola de la Dona. She completed her training with a professional certificate in illustration at CIFO L’Hospitalet, where two fantastic teachers introduced her to the world of picture books.

She loves telling all kinds of stories, always with a positive outlook on life and the world around us. That’s why, in addition to illustrating, she also writes her own tales. Elves, birds, and other animals sneak into her projects daily. She mainly works with watercolor and colored pencils, though she never stops experimenting with different media, depending on her mood.

She loves animals, getting lost in the forest, hiking in the mountains, and stargazing. Besides practicing kendo regularly, she’s a tea addict and a fan of fantasy literature.

She has illustrated several children’s picture books and board games, created illustrations for websites, and worked on private commissions and merchandising.
