Esther Burgueño
When she was a little girl, what she loved most in the whole wide world — yes, the whole wide wide world — was a pencil and a blank sheet of paper. She had heard somewhere far away (or maybe in her village library) that there were people whose profession was… drawing! If that was true, she was absolutely certain: she wanted to be one of them.
As she grew up, her dream stayed right there, strong and steady. So, she earned a degree in Fine Arts at the UB, specializing in engraving and printmaking.
In 2024, she was a finalist in the 9th Enric Solbes International Illustrated Album Award "Consorci Ribera i Valldigna" with 'La Mona Maimona'.
Her passion has become her profession and a way of life she adores. Besides illustrating, she loves bringing her own projects to life. Among them are titles like 'When the Little Wolf Became the Big Bad Wolf' and the collection 'Bit by bit I learn more and I grow big'.
