Cristina Picazo

Daughter of needle and thimble artists, Cristina Picazo was born in Barcelona in 1969, with a pencil in her hand .
After studying Fine Arts, she spent many years teaching children and adults engraving, painting and Fine Arts.
Since 1999, she is exclusively dedicated to illustration and the creation of handicraft books for children. She has published and illustrated some 50 text books, books on Fine Arts and contemporary art aimed at children, books of cradle songs and reading books for children and young adults. She also contributes to a number of children's publications.
She currently lives in the mountains, because she needs to see the trees from her window while she works. This is why she does not like to work at night, although she does this more often than she would like to...
