It’s the year 1700 and King Charles II has died without leaving any descendants. The Rec Comtal of Barcelona has been dyed red as a sign of an impending war. The Academy of the Distrustful summons the barons to take part in trials to find a hero capable of defending the city. Sibyl, a seventeen-year-old girl suffering from hypersensitivity and vitiligo, wants to take part, but she can only do so as a "menina", a lady-in-waiting to a baron. The protagonist will live an adventure in which she will have to travel from Barcelona to Valencia, endure mockery for her white-stained skin, envy, betrayal... and, worst of all, the struggle between time and love.
