In 1934, the death threats to the Raventós family (big producers of cava) cause tension in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, where the outbreak of communism and anarchism is escalating. Francisca lives with her father, an alcoholic who mistreats her and can’t manage his property. They survive by selling their grapes to the big ones, but she has a dream: she wants to make her own cava and is determined to do it.
