Fernando Alcalá

The only thing I can say is that Adhara made me do it. Had she never forced me to take part in the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), I, Fernando Alcalá Suárez, born in Cáceres in 1980, English Language and Literature graduate as well as Secondary Education teacher in the times I’m not writing, never ever would I be here. That year came my first novel CarPa, for which I was awarded a scholarship in Creative Literature by the Culture Department of the Central Government in Extremadura. Then several short stories came, already published in different media. I’ve just finished my second novel, Tormenta de Verano, and I’m currently working in the third one. And that’s the way I’ve lived since that moment, like any Superhero, being a Clark Kent at daylight, and a Superman who does what he wants wherever he wants anytime he has the chance. After all, that’s also what Literature is about.
