M. Antonia Cortijos

Born in Barcelona in 1948. She was introduced to the world of art at the age of 16, when she began her Interior Design studies at Massana School. She specialised in interior design until she was 36, when she returned to this school to study Painting. She has held many exhibitions since, including three solo exhibitions, and has illustrated books for both children and young adult. A compulsive reader, she finally decided to write her first book, “El diario de tapas rojas”, which was published by Plaza y Janés in September 2006. She is currently working on her second book.
