Jaume Copons is a writer. He writes novels, short stories, comics, songs and audiovisual works. Sometimes he does so by himself and other times he creates teams in order to achieve his projects.
His first professional job was as screenwriter for Sesame Neighborhood (TVE). Since then, he has focused on literature and the audiovisual world. Having written more than twenty novels, with “La mano negra”, “Un Tesoro en el patio”, “En Caratallada i els alters” or “Agus and his monsters” among the most important ones, he has also created series such as “Los Lunnis” (TVE) and “Los Algos” (Cuatro).
On occasion, he translates into Spanish and Catalan (but only works of certain authors: Bacallario, Patterson and Lemony Snickett).
He has been awarded many prizes for his works, such as the Joaquim Ruyra-Recull 2002, the Cifré de Colonya 2011, the Prix Jeunese and the Gold TP for best children’s show in 2004.
With a few exceptions, he writes for children and young adults because he finds the adult world rather boring.
