When I was a child I liked reading books, comics… but I was really fascinated by a collection of animal books that we had at home with amazing illustrations. I always loved drawing and I used to have a great time with the plastic arts activities at school.
At first it took me some time to find my way. In fact I began studying Fashion Design at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. But soon I realized I needed something different so I changed needles for brushes and studied Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. After getting my Bachelor’s degree specializing in Painting I hold some exhibitions of my work through the Red de Arte Joven de Madrid. As the digital world was starting to knock on our door (I didn’t like that idea very much but…) I decided to give the computer a chance and studied Graphic Design. I have never regretted it because during my first years I worked as a graphic designer in several companies and discovered many creative possibilities.
One day I decided to make a book for children and it turned out to be such a gratifying experience that since then I work mainly as a children’s illustrator (although I work for adults as well) in different fields: books, educational toys, decorative vinyls for toys stores, etc.
I am so lucky I enjoy my work and, as I live in the country, I can take a break and go for a walk with my dogs watching inspiring skies full of clouds.
